Write a career plan can be an important step in identifying and reaffirming their life goals. Career plans can give students direction in their course of study or to help expand their current professional career choices. The career development plans are beneficial because they give a sense of direction and purpose. Here are some steps to write a career plan.

1. Assess yourself. Identify your interests, values, needs and personal goals. This will help you better understand the career you chose or were chosen and how it can adapt to you.

2. Develop career goals. Have an idea of what jobs are in the market, how are you going to get these jobs and what skills you have to offer to employers.

3. Explore your career potential. Explore the field you want to work in research and industries involved.

4. Match with a career goal. Decide what career is right for you by reducing their career choices. Evaluate each option, identify the alternatives and see their short-and long-term options.

5. Write down the actions you can take to achieve their goals, eg, registration of courses for college or enroll in specialized training classes.

6. Analyze the career you have chosen. This will help you have an outside view of how you will meet your expectations and what skills are needed to achieve them.
