Only you have the ability to find your dream job. No one can find you your dream job. You need to look for a dream job and figure out what you want as your dream job. Here are some tips to help you find your dream job.
First, figure out what you want as a dream job. Do you want to be a doctor, chartered accountant, dentist, businessman, engineer or investment banker? All these jobs are stressful and require you to study and get a degree.
Once you have figured out what you want in your dream job, the next step is to make a path for yourself to get there.
For example, if your dream job is doctor or accountant, you need to study. Make a path to follow. It starts from high school, but you can qualify at any age. Get good marks in high school and get admission to a University or a College, which offers bachelors of Science or commerce. You need to get amazing marks to succeed as a doctor or an accountant. Similarly, if your job requires hands on experience, then get the experience you need.
Networking is one of the biggest tools in the corporate world. If your dream job is in the business world, you need contacts and network. So start today and make some contacts! People won’t walk to you, you have to walk towards them and get contact information. Networking can put your average resume at the top of the pile.
Meet someone who is working in your dream job. This will give you their perspective of the job and what they do. CSI television show makes the job of crime investigators seem like a video game. But is it really that fun? Investment bankers make millions of dollars but will you be able to work 100 hours per week? A person who is already working in the job can easily answer these questions. You might end up in your dream job, but it might not turn out to be the job you thought it would be.
So, investigate more about your dream job, and make sure that it is really your dream job. Some jobs might not be available in your city or country. But if you really are focused on what you want in your job, relocating might be another option. You need to find out about the future job prospects. There is always a shortage of good doctors in most countries, but during times of recession investment banker might not be able to get a job.
You will not get your dream job without motivation and hard work. So make sure that you really want that job and make sure you make a plan and follow it!
