This article is written for those of you looking for work in technical fields or high-tech industry. From my part, approved the job search recently published book “Think like an Interviewer: Your job search guide for success.”
1. That the addresses in advance
One of the biggest mistakes you can do is never late for a show! Depending on how late you are, you can get interviewed. But it is something that will not be forgotten.
In other words, we start with the left foot and will be remembered! Therefore, avoid at all costs if you want this to succeed.
This means that the directions to the interview early. And if you need to take a dry run, do it! Also, leave enough time to be there and get the lay of the land. Scope of the places where you can have lunch or whatever is nearby.
TIP: Mapquest and other online maps and driving are not always accurate! These are good for general guidance, but may not be current or adjusted for road closures and detours. So take that into account when planning their vacation time.
2. Dress
Technology jobs are not really all that different from others. So you should dress appropriately. If you go to management in the corporate office, and then more formal dress is the best way forward. But if you are in an interview, then you may want to dress a little.
TIP # 1: There is no such thing as being overdressed!
Want to dress according to the environment will be interviewing and working in this way is too underdressing damage, like overdressing. Why? Because you are not showing awareness of their surroundings. And the sentence shows poor!
Now what you decide to use, make sure it is clean, ironed, and parties! Therefore, make sure your clothes, socks, shoes and go together. FYI: Men tend to have more of a problem than women. Women in general are more aware of colors and what goes with what.
TIP # 2: Obtain the views of a woman from a whole can help those of you who are not sure if things are equal or colorblind.
3.Pre-interview nerves
It is perfectly natural to be nervous before your interview. Therefore, take a few deep breaths and relax beforehand.
TIP: Do not do it in front of others!
You never want others to see your nervousness because it looks professional. And remember, first impressions are lasting, so you must make a good one! Therefore, use the bathroom, your car, bus, or do without leaving home.
In other words, in a private place, where the interviewer and potential coworkers, supervisors, and customers do not see you. They need to see the consummate professional!
4.Preparation of scenarios and hands-on issues
Technology work often consists of questions that will have to “do show that, try it!” Therefore, expect and prepare for them.
In other words, you may be asked to define the terminology, procedures and processes as a way to test their knowledge and skill. Or it may be given to certain issues relating pieces of equipment to see how much you know about them: how they are used, maintained and security protocols. You may also be presented in some situations to test how well you handle it. Therefore, be prepared for these!
And be aware that there is a difference between book knowledge and practical skills and application. For example, the book can be defined in a way somewhat, but in fact is used in another. Showing awareness of what you look more competent, and to understand the real world use. That is very important!
Working with technology, having a better understanding of the practical applications and situations is essential for success. You see, anyone can get their information from a book. But only a true professional really understands how things really work and are in the world of work. And that is what separates those who succeed from those that are not.
Book learning will come to the interview. But the practical application of this material was actually hired! So be sure to demonstrate your ability to apply that knowledge in real situations. This greatly enhances their chances of success!
5.Have materials ready to go
Technology jobs require organization, and skill. You must demonstrate these qualities to be fully prepared and ready for your interview. This means that all your materials on hand and ready to submit at any time.
Therefore, make sure you have clean copies of your resume handy. And any other material is to show, as references, projects, etc. Also make sure you have something to write in a working group and pen or pencil. This shows that it is ready to go and are well organized!
6.The correct attitude
Have the right attitude can make a big difference and lead to success in the technology job interviews. You must be knowledgeable, helpful, respectful, dedicated and motivated.
TIP: The arrogance and conceit disaster!
To succeed, you must come across as someone who really believes that is what he’s doing and will do a great job! But it should not enter the kingdom of arrogance and cocky. That can spell disaster.
Being a little humble sends the message that you are not a threat to others, or feel you’re better than anyone. It is regarded as a better person by the interviewer if you take this attitude.
Yes, you can defend yourself as the consummate professional. And it may illustrate why you feel that you are the best for the job. But that is very different from saying that you’re the best in the world.
