Cognitive therapy has received a lot of hype as one of those modern techniques which help patients recondition their minds or at least diminish the effect of distorted thoughts in their emotional and mental health. The core theory of cognitive therapy is that people are often distressed because of distorted thoughts, and these thoughts, if properly aligned or channeled through therapy, can alleviate the negative effects on the inidual. You may have already heard about this before, but you are now on the next step: finding a therapist. This is not so difficult given the technology that you have at your fingertips now.
