Remember when you first decided it was time to start working? Some people hear the call early with paper routes and baby-sitting jobs, and some of us waited until our teenage years. You probably found stores with help wanted signs or were recommended by a family member or a friend.

But times have changed. With the current recession, we are seeing the unemployment rate rise with mass layoffs and plant closings recently from companies such as Catepillar, Sprint Nextel and Home Depot. Now Americans are not just looking for extra cash - they are looking for jobs that will provide enough income to support their families and the lifestyle we are all accustomed to.
