The Pyramids in Egypt, the Parthenon in Greece, the Taj Mahal in India, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Empire State Building in New York, and the Petronas Towers in Malaysia, are all magnificent architectural design and engineering marvels we have all admired and loved. Throughout the ages, architectural design has always inspired and brought awe to people in all cultures. This is the primary reason why architecture is one of the most revered and respected careers. It is very difficult to get rich as an architect due to the saturation of the profession, but it is still a necessity in nation building. One can still build a great career in the field, but with millions of professionals competing with one another for design projects it’s quite tough to garner riches and fame from it.

There are many different specializations in this age of modern architecture.

  1. Residential Architecture. These professionals that focus on designing homes are some of the very common specializations in the field. Residential architects are usually responsible for designing homes based on what the prospective home owner would want his house to be. Residential architects are also capable to design simple buildings and structures as well.
