How to Get PMI (Project Manager Institute) Certification

PMI (Project Management Institute) offers several credentials for business people to oversee complex projects and leading the development of equipment. One of these credentials is the Project Manager Certification. As a certified PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) to be trained to lead teams under tight budget constraints and programming.

To obtain PMP certification from PMI, follow these steps to find the training and meet all the requirements.

Visit the PMI website for more of a view of the application process. There are two routes to becoming a certified PMP. (1) Have a high school diploma or GED, 60 months of experience leading project teams, and 35 hours of project management education. O (2) have a degree, 36 months of experience leading project teams, and 35 hours of project management education.

Make sure that your experience as leader of the project team is well documented. PMP certification can be obtained by any person in any field – from advertising to construction or scientific research.

Necessary to complete course work. To qualify for the PMI certification, you must accumulate 35 hours of instruction in project management, and can live classes, online classes, or special training programs within the company. School hours to count, which should cover some aspects of project management – scope, budget, planning, communication, etc.

PMI’s Web site has a course of lectures and location. Use it to find the classes that count toward your PMP certification. You can search by location or area of specialty. If you choose to take classes online or at a school, check with PMI to ensure they are acceptable. Remember, self-study activities such as reading manuals is not MPP.

Once your application with the above requirements has been approved, you are given permission to take the PMP exam. Make sure to study well to spend this time of multiple-choice examination.

Once you pass the PMP exam, your project manager certification is complete! To maintain your credential during its period of validity of 3 years, you need 60 hours of continuing education credits. Therefore, do not forget to keep abreast of these standards PMI.
