The best way to learn is the database management database management to be.
Many entry-level PC technicians have asked over the years about how to continue his career in Information Technology (IT). The council has always been present to determine what area of technology and enjoyed the majority of residents to become expert in that system.
Those who wanted to work with databases, the road to success may be long but very rewarding (both financially and happiness).
For those wishing to start a career in databases, steps for success is simple but not simple.
1. Learn and understand what a relational database. The basic components of any database are the data tables, and especially the relations between the tables. You must fully understand what a primary key, a foreign key, and the impact that the referential integrity constraints and table of stored data.
2. Learn and understand the concept of groups and functions of Windows, both in the environment and database environment. Groups and roles are the foundation of nearly all safety devices in a database environment. As database administrator, you are responsible for security and the database should include all aspects of security.
3. Understand the importance of backups, and learn to back up and so important, how to restore the backups successfully. You must understand the importance of registration of transactions, and how this is vital to maintaining the highest level of data integrity.
4. Understand your network protocols. Many of the problems that you encounter throughout your career will be caused by network problems. Understand how the different network protocols work will help you troubleshoot and resolve these issues.
5. Learning the system databases. The server is configured and managed by information stored in these databases. If you do not know what they are or where they are, then you can not manage the server.
6. Learning to use command line tools like BCP and OSQL. Command line may seem obsolete, but they have to master these tools to dominate the database.
To complete these steps, there are three routes available:
The first path is a course in database management from a college or university. These classes can last from four to twelve weeks, and will probably have a relatively high price. However, you will receive professional instruction, guidance and this is the best path to success.
If you believe you can not attend, please contact the school’s financial aid office as they may be able to help.
The second way to start your career is the database to work with a database administrator. If you work in the IT field, you may be able to talk to your DBA and ask companies if you can intern with them for a short period of time each day. If they are not too busy (and if you have time), may be able to walk through many of the steps above.
The latest way to learn (and the harder / longer) is to be his own master. DBAS although some are self-taught, it is not advisable unless you have the ability to build a system of database development. Learning by itself a great deal of dedication, and my own personal experience with database systems, leaves a large amount of information.
If you decide to learn for yourself, I recommend you visit your local library or bookstore to see what books are available to help you learn. To succeed, you must obtain two different types of books. The first book to be an overview of the concepts of database (ie, an encyclopedia database) and the book should be a detailed instruction manual for how-to “examples and explanations of the theory behind the lesson.
