Before leaving an interview, ask the interviewer what the next step in the process is. This may be another interview or the final decision of employment and the offer of employment. Either way, it is a good idea to ask when you will hear from the company. Otherwise, your expectations may be wrong. In many cases, the company knows that an offer cannot be made for several weeks.
Knowing this can help you keep your sanity.
