I’ve worked just about every unsociable hour there is – it’s the way it is with the job I do. At the moment I’m producing the 1Xtra breakfast show, so I’m up at 4am to be ready to go on air at 7am.

I do try to go to bed early, but the music industry is all about the night – there’s always a gig or a party somewhere that I could head out to. When I started out in this business I’d try to go to everything, as I felt that, if I didn’t, I’d be missing out on all the fun. But now I know what I’ll feel like in the morning if I do. So, …
