Pink Slipped: Now What?

No matter what you call it, lay-off, downsized, restructure, terminated, pink slipped or fired, it is prevalent in these difficult economic times. It seems as if every news program you watch, or newspaper and business magazine you read, there are statistics of the downturn in the economy; namely, unemployment rates.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor, the national unemployment rate for January was *8.1 percent which represents *12.5 million unemployed people.

Profit margins have dramatically decreased and businesses are struggling to bring in revenue. Entire industries have been forced to rethink the ways and methods that they do business…
