Quiz: Does your career for you?

Each year, you probably get (or help write) their assessment of performance. But have you evaluated your work lately?

Workplace coach Joan Lloyd said that most workers go through some changes each year: a reorganization, reduction, the new address, or simply a change of roles.

Make a “race audit is a way to ask you: How is this new arrangement work for me?

She suggests asking yourself these questions years:

1. What did four things that really enjoy my job last year?

2. What percentage of the total number of jobs that represent?

3. Is this kind of thing that really motivates me?

4. Will I have the opportunity to do more things like this in the future?

5. Is it worth staying in this job for this type of experience?

6. What parts of my job I enjoy doing?

7. What I dislike about them?

8. Why do not I like these activities? Who or what did they affect? Why?

9. Is my beliefs, values or principles?

10. What percentage of the total number of jobs that represent?

11. I have fun and enjoy going to work? Or I’ve heard people say things like, “Well, at least it is a paycheck.

12. Have I looked around the room during a meeting, or in my work area, and asked, “Do I want to be part of this group?

13. Did I come home with stories that often begins with: “You will not believe what happened in that horrible place today … How often?

14. How many new things to learn this year?

15. I learned things that make me more marketable?

16. What I learned last year to build my credibility and abilities?

Based on the list, think of ways to grow professionally in the coming year.

And if their answers reveal that he is not satisfied with the way your company or job is the game? As Lloyd writes in The Business Journal, “Perhaps it is time to quit this job and back on track to more satisfaction and enjoyment from their work.
