It’s not ethically tolerable that this can give you any edge over fellow job seekers who don’t have Internet access, unless you’re looking for a job that specifically involves using your familiarity with the Net, but you might as well get the benefit of the Internet while you’re here. Print this article, read the other suggestions later, and start browsing job search sites.
If you work fast, and have your resume on disk, you may be able to post your resume on supercolossal job search sites like www.careerbuilder.com, www.monster.com, or www.hotjobs.yahoo.com, within the hour. Because these sites are so massive, this may lead to employment soon, or never; the luck of the draw seems to be involved. And you might not want to put your real name and address on the Internet; I’m not recommending that you do. However, many people do find jobs reasonably close to their training and career goals this way…
