1. Teaching: As long as families have kids, there will always be openings for qualified teachers. Most school districts require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in teaching, as well as a local or state certificate. For
teachers’ assistants, librarians and school office positions, it’s sometimes possible to get a job with completion wit two years of college.

2. Healthcare: There will always be jobs in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, doctors’ offices and other health-related organizations. At the top of the list are medical doctors (MDs) and doctor’s assistants and specialists (some with master’s or PhDs)

3. Police, Border Patrol and Firefighters: Primarily in large cities, these jobs are related to Civil Service and others that offer relatively short careers (20 years) with liberal benefits and favorable retirement programs.
