Toyota is extending production cuts and pushing ahead with a further 750
reduction in its 4,000 strong UK work force as it attempts to ride out the
recall crisis.

A planned week-long production shut down at the Burnaston assembly plant in
Derbyshire over the Easter period, is being extended to two weeks and could
be followed by extended short-time working.
