Watch out for the signs of an impending layoff

You love your work and your workplace with colleagues that you may enter the comfort zone of work. So many may fail to recognize the telltale signs of a layoff.  Here are some tips and signs you need to watchout for:

1.Attitude of Boss: If the Boss is closely observing you,which is unusual,it is a warning you should heed.Is he dissatisfied with your performance and productivity,you need to be careful.

2.Performance appraisal: If your last performance appraisal was not good and if you failed to get a recent hike in salary,it is an indication that things are not going well.

3.Colleague’s attitude:Are you feeling that the colleagues behavior towards you has changed?Are they trying to avoid talking with you? Find out the reason for such transformation.

4.Rumours of a layoff: Are you hearing rumors of layoff or unusual restructuring and changes?You need to update your resume and be prepared a nd forward resume to job agencies and other employers if in case things turns as per the rumor.
