What are some good high paying medical career jobs?

Other than a doctor (average salary of $150,000 after 8 years of college plus 1-7 years of residency), or a dentist ($125,000 after 8 years of college), or an optometrist ($90,000 after 8 years of college), or a pharmacist ($85,000 after 7-8 years of college), here’s some of the highest paying medical jobs with the least amount of education:

1a) Physician assistants need at least a 2 year degree, better if you have a 4 year degree before applying for the 2 year PA training program. They make about $69,410 a year.

1b) Physical therapists need at least a 4 year degree, and many now need 2 years of graduate school as well. They make about $60,000 a year.

2a) Radiation Therapists: A Radiology therapist needs a 4 year degree and makes $58,000 a year.

2b) Nuclear Medicine Technologists: If you already have a 4 year degree, you can get a 2 year certificate or associate degree, otherwise you need a 4 year degree. Annual Pay: $56,000

3) Diagnostic medical sonographers need at least a 2 year associate degree and make $52,490 a year.

4) Nursing: There are accelerated nursing programs set up so you can get your Nursing degree in 12-18 months if you already have a bachelors degree. Otherwise, shortest training period is 2-3 years for an associate degree; 3 years in a hospital training program; or a 4 year BSN program. Nurses make about $50,000 a year.

5) Radiology tech’s usually need a 2 year associate degree and make about $43,000 a year.
