Why leaving school early could limit career opportunities

Leaving school early might seem like fun, but you are only hurting yourself if you actually do leave school early. The bottom line is that at some point an employer is going to want you to have an education in order to get your career track going higher. If you are looking to get to work early to get some extra experience that is great, but you are going to have to go back to school eventually. A college degree is needed more and more just for entry level jobs these days.

Unless you are willing to start your own business, you aren’t going to be doing a whole lot with your career. Going to school opens doors because not only do you get your degree, but you have extra networking chances as well. A professor that gives you a recommendation is going to be a valuable resource, or an internship that you get while in school is going to give you a leg up before you even start working.

Most managers have degrees and go back to school for more. Having a degree says you are committed to learning as much as possible, and having a higher degree means you are willing to keep learning. If you are not willing to go to school, you miss out on chances to further yourself and learn as much as possible about the business that you are in…
